He has also been Director, Program in Law and
Economics, Director, Program in Technology and Productivity and Faculty Advisor
for Economic Honors Program (Omicron, Delta, Epsilon).
Dr. Kamrany has published 14 books and over one
hundred scientific papers and articles in journals of higher learning. He has
published over 20 papers on Afghanistan. His most recent research is on
Global Convergence of Per Capita Income. Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY has been retained by private attorneys and law firms as expert witness-economist in over 200 law cases including responding to depositions and court appearances and interrogatories for estimating measure of damages in medical malpractice, personal injury and death cases. He has appeared as expert witness in immigration courts and related fields. Developed a new computerized mathematical model for conveniently incorporating a variety of economic input data including such variables as discount (interest) rate, consumer price index, annual increase in medical cost index, annual increase in earnings, cost of medicine, and supplies. Alternative calculations of the present value, the total value (future value), the initial cost, and the incorporation of different risk factors.
Dr. Kamrany has received the highest award “The
Associate Award” at USC which is granted only to eminent scholars and teachers. AT MIT, he was director of a multimillion dollar multidisciplinary economic analysis for the development of the Sahel-Sudan region of Africa under the aegis of the Agency for International Development.
Dr. NAKE M. KAMRANY has developed the pioneering
application of computerized system dynamic methodology for regional analysis in
Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Michigan.
